Prodrive party heads for Shelsley Walsh

This year’s Classic Nostalgia festival at Shelsley Walsh will celebrate 40 years of Prodrive success in motorsport. The popular weekend, which takes place on 20-21 July will also host rally cars, F1, NASCAR, hillclimbers, club displays and a concours.

At the event’s heart, however, will be a host of spectacular Prodrive cars in action on the famous hill. Visitors can naturally expect a host of Subaru rally greats, as well as the likes of the ex-Henri Toivonen Porsche 911 SC RS, a MINI John Cooper Works WRC and a 1990 BMW E30 M3, all demonstrated by a Prodrive team including company stalwarts David Lapworth and Paul Howarth.

Prodrive founder and chairman David Richards said: ‘We’re very excited to be celebrating this milestone anniversary at Classic Nostalgia. Few motorsport venues are as atmospheric as Shelsley Walsh, and best of all is the fact that it will allow enthusiasts to really get close to these amazing cars.
